Marcy Pulp Density Scale

The Marcy Pulp Density Scale correlates the specific gravity of the ore with the percent solids of the pulp. This information is displayed on a circular scale for several specific gravities by use of a simple weigh scale.
The simplicity of the scale along with its many applications have made the Marcy Pulp Density Scale a common feature at concentrators throughout the world.
The scale can be used for fast, accurate percent solids determinations at various points throughout a concentrator, enabling adjustments to be made to keep, for example, a grinding circuit running effectively.

Marcy Direct Reading Pulp Density and Specific Gravity Scale speeds up the determination of pulp densities; specific gravities of pulps or liquids; specific gravity of dry solids. It eliminates errors in reading charts or graphs and prevents errors in calculations. Provides greater accuracy and has a wide specific gravity range.

Use the Marcy Pulp Density Scales to obtain the following direct readings: Weight of sample in grams or kilograms. Specific gravity of liquid or pulp. Percent solids contained in the pulp of any given specific gravity. Specific gravity of dry solids.

Saves Time, Prevents Errors
Requires no reference to separate charts or tables . . . saves time and prevents errors in calculations. Simply hang the filled container on a scale hook read the information direct from the scale.

Greater Accuracy
The circular dial readings are equivalent in accuracy to those of a 47" beam balance. This provides greater sensitivity than is possible with a normal beam balance.

Covered Dial Stays Clean
The dial is covered by glass to keep it clean. Dirty hands cannot contact the weighing unit, which eliminates the possibility of dirt affecting the scales accuracy.

Resists Corrosion and Will Not Dent
The plastic container resists the action of alkalis and acids, and is easy to keep clean.
It is difficult to break and will not dent, assuring constant volume measurement. Slotted overflow openings permit easy and accurate filling to exactly 1000 cc.

Protect your Marcy Pulp Density Scale from damage due to impact and splash.  Rear housing is constructed from durable Kydex.  Clear face constructed from rugged Polycarbonate. Can be used with new or existing Marcy Scales.

Wide Specific Gravity Range
The Scale is applicable over a wide range of solids; light or heavy density interchangeable dials are provided to cover this range in small specific gravity increments of dry solids.

Interchangeable Dial Faces
Each scale includes 12 interchangeable dial faces with a specific gravity range of dry solids from 1.2 through 7.8.
